Brief

To revamp Paywho into a global brand to appeal to international market.

Paywho is a Singapore startup backed by a traditional forex transmittance company. In order to reach out to more user without having to leave their door, paywho launched their app in Singapore.

However the brand image and app interface/experience were not up to global standard. In order to help them venture into Europe market, we went on a total brand rehaul for paywho plus redesign the app from ground up.

Branding

“The name has to stay”

The very first challenge of the rebranding for Paywho is the name, as the service is more towards remittance instead of merchant payment or local transfer, the word “Pay” sort of mislead the audience, while the use of “who” implies uncertainty. However, due to legal registration issues, the name has to stay.

Existing look and feel of the logo was dull due to the deep colour while the shape that indicates question mark was not a good representation. We have taken a direction that suggest progression and transition, to align with the function of the product and brand. Overall colour setting of the new brand is more striking and attractive, energetic and modern.

Client was very pleased with the outcome of the rebranding.

UI/UX

Upon engaging us, the client has already a functional app running. After analysing the user journey, information architecture, design system, and user interface design, we have proposed to restructure the UX and revamp the UI based on our new branding.

We have started the process by identifying audience personas, their pain points and consideration journey. Based on the user journey, we have crafted an information architecture to set a clearer hierarchy and structure. Followed by the wireframe and finally user interface that took a more modern design languages and on brand.

Result

Although til date, client’s development team hasn’t release the new app yet, we are quite proud of what the new team accomplished in this project.
