Brief
Brainstormonline.io was a SaaS platform to enable users to brainstorm collaboratively anytime anywhere.
The agency took a big hit during the pandemic while most of our hospitality client halt their marketing effort, we were running low on client’s projects. To get through the tough time and to keep the team together, we have initiated a few internal SaaS platforms, Brainstormonline.io was one of them.
From conceptualisation to a fully developed platform, we did it all inhouse. The project was inspired by a series of creative methodologies workshop I’ve conducted for the team, it then strike us to think “Is it possible to help everyone to brainstorm better or easier?”, especially during the challenging period.
So the idea was born, we have conceptualised the UX and UI, branding, development and commercialised the SaaS.

UI/UX
The UI/UX was inspired by online multiplayer trivia games.
The concept of Brainstormonline.io was to allow users to relax and free their mind while coming out with ideas collaboratively. What is better than gamifying the process of brainstorming?
We believe that all ideas are equal, they are fragments waited to be formed into great concepts. In the platform, we encourages participants to instinctively give their first thoughts, while at the end piece them together with creative methodologies.
BRANDING
To align with the nature of the app, we have created a branding that features striking colours and provoking imageries to stimulate the audiences.
The logo is a literal symbolisation of what we believed, brainstorming process is to gather fragments of ideas and piece them together. The fragments are being presented in basic geometry, resonance of wooden blocks, to bring out the simplicity of the process, it should be as relaxed as child’s play.
I’ve lead the branding and UIUX of the platform, hence the we can see a seamless synergy. For social media, we have further introduced some lifestyle imagery to support wider flexibility of communication.
Due to the limited resources during pandemic lock down, I’ve also picked up character animation again, and implemented animated SVG (lottie) on our promotional website.
Seeing everything pieced together is indeed very satisfying.
