Brief
Making timelapse is about patience and a good timing measurement skill.
It all started with a project that requires a series of night footages of Singapore’s skyline, I picked up timelapse photography. Back then, the iso performance of DSLR was not good enough to shoot decent video, hence I’ve decided to do timelapse video.
Process
Timelapse photography is a tiring but enjoyable process.
During the process, I was trying to shoot the time-lapse photos during blue hour so that the transition from sunset to dusk is well captured. Hence I always end up setting out to do just 1 video each day, each time-lapse took around 30 minutes to complete. There were several takes on the same angle on different nights due to bad weather.
It was like a test of patience and boredom while waiting for the timelapse to complete. But every night as I got back at the desk, checking back the images sequences brought me satisfaction, and my tiredness was chased away.
